I love how my mom is so great with costumes and pictures. Before we left San Jose at Thanksgiving time, she had the grandkids put on their costumes for the nativity scene so we could take some pictures. They turned out so cute!
I love Thanksgiving time. It is a time to give to others and feel the gratitude for the blessing in your life.
This year to get ready for the Holiday we had our kids write what they were thankful for on a turkey feather. They filled that turkey all the way up... friends, family, church, school, babies, Holy Ghost, etc.. We have much to be thankful for.
We headed up to San Jose for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to be with all the family.
We started off the vacation with a little In and Out burger with the family.
We did some swimming indoors and out.
We went on a scavenger hunt to find out the gender of April and Johns baby.
It's a GIRL!! Everyone was so excited!
We acted out the first thanksgiving. So much fun for all these little Indians and Pilgrims. Gigi was the costume maker, director, and photographer for the play.
The Pilgrims arrive in America.
The Indians spotting the Pilgrims.
The Pilgrims and Indians meet.
Indians teaching the Pilgrims about the land and the food and becoming friends.
Their first meal together.
So great for all the cousins to be able to participate in such a fun play and to remember the first Thanksgiving.
Then we got ready for our feast.
We cooked one turkey in the oven and one turkey in the garbage can outside.
We got the table already for the feast and then we got to gather around the table and enjoy an amazing dinner with our family.
So good and so much fun. The rest of the trip we were able to enjoy each others company.
We played outside on the swing set and playing soccer on the field.
We ate yummy treats together
We played Bingo where we actually won prizes. AWESOME!
We did a little family Christmas and opened presents from my parents.
And we explored the land on foot and on the ATV.
Such a great Holiday. Feel so blessed to have such a great family and to have such a fun time together. Happy Thanksgiving!
