I am an official MIZ.. Mother in Zion. Our ward has just started a Mother's in Zion night. This is where we get together and have Mother Education Classes. Tonight was the first meeting and it was amazing. Cheryl Pitt is the leader and she is just a rock-star mom, person, friend. etc. When I first moved into ward 13+ years ago I remember watching her and her family... especially her teenage girls and thinking that family is amazing, I hope I have a family like that someday. I am excited to be able to learn from Cheryl and from the Mother Education lessons.
Tonight's Lesson was on Motherhood and what a essential and eternal
role it is. We learned the importance of being righteous, loving,
faithful mothers. There were so many great quotes from leaders of our
church and from the scriptures that taught us these important
As I sat and listened to what was being
taught my heart was filled with gratitude to my Heavenly Father that
knows me and loves me. These last couple of weeks I have been struggling.
We just moved and have a hundred and one things going on right now. My
life has been to crazy and my kids have been even crazier. I have felt
tired and impatient with out-of-control kids and felt like I was
failing as a Mom. Then it hit me the quote from Sheri Dew " Satan has
declared war on Motherhood. He knows that those who rock the cradle can
rock his earthly empire" and I realized these past couple of weeks with
my fatigue and crazy life I was letting Satan pull ahead in the war. I
was letting him make me feel like I was not good enough. I can not THANK
my Heavenly Father enough for tonight.
Heavenly Father loves me and knows I am doing my best!
My kids may not always be eating the most organic healthy food
ps. I know I am still way behind on the updates and they are to come. I just had to document my thoughts tonight before tomorrow morning rolls around and all craziness diminishes any peaceful feeling I had tonight ;)

One of the new fun adventures at D-land is going to watch the Jedi Training show. My kids are still a little to shy to actually volunteer to fight but they LOVE watching... especially when Darth Vader comes out!!

WUHOO.... Girls trip! Love them. Some of my friends got together and we headed to Palm Springs. It was so great. We ate good food and lounged at the pool all weekend long. It was just what I needed. We talked and laughed so much that we all had sore throats. I really need to do this A LOT more!
