Happy 4th of July

In HB there is always 100 things you can do on the 4th of July. It is full of fun!

We (me and the boys) (Tad and Kylie were sleeping) started off the day attending one of our Stake 4th of July Shows. It was so great and the boys really loved watching it. It really celebrates Freedom and all those who have fought for our freedom.

We then got to have donuts and chocolate milk after... which the boys REALLY loved.

Kylie missed out on the donuts but she was excited about her cereal
Tad and I grabbed our bikes, loaded up the kids and headed down to the parade. We joined the thousands that were there. It was fun to watch from our favorite spot (on the Dukes sign).

We then headed home, we swam, and had some fun 4th of July treats.

Nap time and then we headed to the fireworks on the beach. It is our tradition to go over to the Beutlers and walk down to the beach. HB finally can have private fireworks which was really fun for our kids (however we found out sparklers are illegal still, whoops!).

Then down to the beach we went. we loved the fireworks show it was a great one!

The 4th was so much fun. I am so thankful to live in such an amazing country!

On a side note... I had fun doing some Pinterest ideas for the 4th with my kids. We made our fireworks out of homemade puffy paint, We made white and blue popcorn and put it in a red bag, and we made a jello treat out of red and blue and jello and whipped cream. Thank you Pinterest!

Happy 36th Birthday Tad!

Tad was really excited to celebrate his 36th birthday (not really). We forced him to be happy that he is another year older and we had a fun time. We celebrated with the kids with yummy food all day long and Tad's favorite cupcakes.

We then went out with our friends (Hanne and Justin) to Outback to celebrate some more!

Happy Birthday Tad! We love you!

Take me out to the Ball Game

Baseball season has begun! Our friends the Morrisons invited us to go watch the Angels play. The Angels creamed the other team so it was not a super exciting game but it was so fun. Kelly makes me laugh 100% of the time and Dustin is so low key it is fun to hang with them. It is funny because they were in our ward forever and we rarely if ever did date nights with them but now that they moved to the neighboring ward we hang out. I am glad they bought a house in HB (it is a rare thing)!

LIttle Grify's sealing

The end of May we were able to attend the sealing of little Grif to his family. It was a such a blessing to be able to attend. We have seen the Pierce family go through some hard times and to be able to witness the sealing reminds me Heavenly Father knows what he is doing. It is never going to be easy but it is going to be worth it! We love that family and are so happy for them.
Julie, me, Taylor, and woody.

After the sealing they had a huge celebration for the sealing/ blessing Grif/ graduation party/ going away party. It was so fun. Good food, dancing, and my kids went crazy. What more can you ask for.

Run Like a Mother

We finally did it! Amber and I have been wanted to do the mud run forever. It just has been so hard to coordinate. We have pregnant or nursing for the last 4 years. But we finally got to do it and it was a blast. We ran as a team and it was so fun. I saw a ragnar team named run like a mother and I thought we had to use it. Amber made the t-shirts and off we ran. It was a great run even with Amber's tendon problems and Mindy having head trama prior to the run.

After the run... we still had smiles on our faces!

We went to the River

When Tad and I got married almost 13 years ago we moved into the Mormon Manor. We moved into an apartment next to Brett and Mindy Stewart, who were also newly married. We became great friends and did everything together. We would go to the river, go to big bear, go to Tahoe, we were always traveling with them. It was so fun. They moved away and Mindy's sister Amber and her new husband Chad moved in. We knew we were destined to be great friends due to the fact they were related to the Stewart's and their names were Amber and Chad. We had so much fun with them and hung out all the time, until they moved away.

Well years went by and slowly everyone started moving back. Now we all live in HB together. We try to get together it just is not as easy as it once was. 1) we dont live in the same complex and 2) with the 3 families we now have 14 kids (10 of them 6yrs and under)!

But we finally did it. We packed up all our 14 kids and we headed to the Colorado river. It was so much fun. We relaxed in the river (well, one time the girls did), got to surf behind the boat, and play together. We had so much fun and we all survived... it was a success.

NOW IF I CAN FIND MY PICTURES I WILL ADD THEM TO THIS POST (what is a post without pictures)!

One last trip to disneyland

I have a question? When is Disneyland not crowded? I swear every time I go it is crazy packed. Hopefully it slows down in the fall. Since my mom was there we decided to go one last time before our passes did not work in the summer. It was crowded and hot but we still had a good time.

It was so hot we decided we needed to go play in the water. Best decision. it was so fun!
