Having fun with Kylie

So we all know that having your birthday near the Holidays is not ideal... for many reasons. I just discovered another reason... no photographers are available.

I wanted to have some really cute pictures of Kylie but it seems like all the photographers are booked for the season. Luckily my Mom has a really great camera and I had some extra time on my hands so I had fun with my little doll...

I think I did a pretty good job... but really how can you not when your little model is so stinking cute and such a great little baby. (can you tell I am so in love with this little girl)

I think she had her hand up like this picture in the womb because every time she is not swaddled her hand is there.

Kylie sleeps all day and night so it was super rare that I got her with her eyes open.

This is Kylie almost 24/7... I love sleeping newborns.

Ok so the lighting is not professional but her little face is so sweet.

Large and in charge at a whopping 6 lbs 11 oz.
If you still can't tell I love little Kylie... and this is why...
She smells so good! Really I can't get enough of her smell (maybe I am just so use to smelly little boys). I am not sure if she cries? Ok so i have heard her cry but really it was when she was hungry and the nurse was giving her first bath.. other then that no real cries. She lets her brothers hold her even though they have no clue how to. She sleeps...sleeps... and sleeps. Yep only wakes up one time at night. She is a fast eater... it only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to feed her which is such a blessing. And most of all she has the sweetest spirit.

I was so scared to add another little one to this craziness but she has been such an angel. She makes me so happy and I am so blessed to have her as my daughter. My heart is so full of gratitude for my little family. I love them all so much... and thank my Heavenly Father everyday for these 4 little miracles in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving

Tuesday we drove up to San Jose to spend the weekend at my parents house. Although a 6 hour car ride with a 3, 2, 1, and 1 week year old sounds like pretty much the last thing I would like to do... it actually wasn't that bad. We had such a great Thanksgiving.

Kylie at home

Kylie came home Nov 18th around 9:00 pm. I was so tired of the nurses bothering me every second I decided to come home a little earlier. It was nice she got to come home to a quiet house and get adjusted before the attack of the brothers the next morning.

Her Brothers are in love with this little girl. Saxon wants to hold her all the time, Micah gives her space but every once in a while wants to give her a huge hug, Dane just want to be by "baby Iyie" every second he can. Kylie officially has three bodyguards for the rest of her life.

Saxon can't get enough of Baby Kylie. He is such a great big brother!

The first week I was home I had a ton of help. Tad took work off my mom came down and then Tad's parents came for the weekend. It was so helpful and I wouldn't be able to do it with out them. I feel to blessed to have such an amazingly supportive family.

Kylie Anne Baltzer is here!

She is finally here! Kylie Anne Baltzer has made her grand appearance into the world.... and here is how it happened...

I was due Nov. 10th and the day came and went... which I was actually happy about. I have been super nervous about bringing a little sweet girl into this world of craziness. However as the days kept coming and going and no baby I started getting a little nervous. I went to the Doctors on Monday and he said i had not was not dialated at all so he scheduled the c-section for Saturday afternoon. I was bummed because I really wanted to try a VBAC. So i needed to get this girl to come before Saturday.

Luckily tuesday night my friend Jen Scott made this extremely HOT Asian dish and I ate it. Then the contractions began. I went to enrichment that night and started timing the contractions and they were coming every 5 minutes. I went home and got ready to go to the hospital but the contractions seemed to slow down so I decided to go to bed.

At 3 am I woke up to an extremely large contraction and then my water broke... i was actually really excited about it. i always wanted that moment, it just seems to dramatic. I called April and she rushed over to watch the boys. Called my mom who jumped in the car to drive down from San Jose to help out. Tad and I then rushed to the hospital.

We got to the hospital around 3:45 and checked in. They checked me around 4 am and I was dilated to a 3. I continued to have contraction after contraction with really no break... i was dying. Where was the epideral? They finally came in an hour later they checked me and I was at a 7. They gave me the epideral and it just was not working.. did i mention I was dying. Then after about 30 minutes it kicked in I was dilated to an 8.5 by then. But oh how I love epiderals.

I got to a 10 by 7 am and then the Dr Clayton told me that he wanted me to labor down which means that I don't push I just let Kylie come down by herself. It sounds easy but it was actually really hard because my body wanted to push the whole time and I couldn't. By the time my Dr. came I thought I was too weak to push. Luckily I pushed 2 times and she was out. Nov 17th, 11:07 am weighing 6 lbs 11oz and 20 inches long. Such an amazing experience... Life is such a miracle.
